Lotto 6aus49 numbers: is any line luckier?
No: every Lotto 6aus49 line has exactly the same chance of the jackpot, 1 in 139,838,160. What changes from line to line is how many people you would share a prize with, because many players choose dates and patterns. Check your own line below, or take a random one that avoids them.
Check your line
Type exactly 6 different numbers from 1 to 49.
Every number must be from 1 to 49.
Each number can appear only once.
This line looks like the ones many players choose:
- Every number is 31 or under, like the dates people play: birthdays, anniversaries.
- The numbers rise in equal steps, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 5, 10, 15, 20, 25.
- Every number is a multiple of 7.
- Every number is even.
- Every number is odd.
- It is a line many people play on purpose, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or the numbers from the TV series Lost.
Its chance is the same as any other line's, 1 in 139,838,160. But if it won a prize that is shared, you would likely share it with more people.
This line falls into none of the popular patterns we check. Its chance is the same as any other line's, 1 in 139,838,160.

The Superzahl is not chosen: it is the last digit of your slip number.
Your browser picks it with its secure random generator and picks again if it looks like a popular pattern. Every line that looks like none of them is equally likely to appear here. Nothing is sent anywhere.
When a popular line matters
Lotto 6aus49 prizes are shares of a fund, split equally among the winners of each tier. A popular line that wins is likely to have more co-winners, so a smaller share.
Half of all stakes go to prizes. The lowest class, 2 numbers and the Superzahl, pays a fixed €6.00. The jackpot class takes 15% of the prize money and rolls over when nobody wins it; the other classes share what is left after those two, at the percentages shown, equally among each class's winners. The Superzahl is not chosen: it is the last digit of the slip number, and one digit from 0 to 9 is drawn. A play costs €1.20 plus a handling fee per slip that differs from state to state. LOTTO.de publishes no starting jackpot, so the tools start from an assumed €1 million; type in the jackpot of the day.
No system of numbers changes the chance. Past draws do not affect the next one, and "hot" or "cold" numbers are simply what luck looks like.
